Dare Driver Pty Ltd (ABN 36 695 182 471), based in Queensland, Australia, operates this website and Dare Rentals. This policy covers the forms, company portals, communications and digital services we control.
Each listed rental business is separately responsible for information it receives directly through WhatsApp, email, telephone or during a rental. You should also review that operator’s privacy terms.
2. Information we may collect
We may collect names, email addresses, telephone numbers, city, business and ABN details; access applications; fleet and vehicle information; communications with us; the account identity used to access a portal; and basic technical data such as IP address, device, browser, time, security records and usage information.
We do not ask for payment-card details, licence images, full insurance policies or other sensitive documents in the public application form. If we later need documents to verify a business or vehicle, we will identify an appropriate channel.
3. Vehicle availability forms
When you submit a vehicle availability form, Dare Rentals registers the enquiry, creates a reference number and makes the details available to the business responsible for the vehicle. This allows the business and Dare Rentals to evidence and manage the lead.
After registration, your device opens WhatsApp with a prepared message. WhatsApp is a separate service and Dare Rentals cannot confirm from a standard click-to-chat link whether you ultimately press send. WhatsApp and the operating business handle any message you send under their own policies.
4. Why we use information
We use information to review applications, check businesses and vehicles, administer accounts and listings, respond to enquiries, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, improve the service and keep reasonable business records.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We send direct marketing only where permitted and you may ask us to stop.
- We collect only information we consider reasonably necessary for these purposes.
5. Who we may share it with
We may disclose information to the operating business you choose when you initiate contact; hosting, authentication, storage, communication and technical-support providers; professional advisers; or authorities where required by law.
Some technology providers may process or store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use suitable providers, but their processing locations can change over time.
6. Retention and security
We use reasonable access, authentication and storage measures to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No internet-connected system is completely secure.
We retain information only as long as reasonably required for review, operation, security, dispute handling and legal obligations. When it is no longer required, we seek to securely delete or de-identify it.
7. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to or correction of your information, withdraw an applicable consent, or make a complaint by emailing daredriveraus@gmail.com. We may ask for information to verify your identity.
